What types of EV charger are there?

There are a few different types of EV chargers to be aware of. Below is a brief breakdown but feel free to get in touch and we'll guide you through the process!

Wall outlet

You can charge your EV directly from most UK plugs, it will just be very slow and may only give you 3-5 miles per hour of charging.

Dedicated charger

What is often referred to as "Level 2" is a dedicated home charger, which will typically add 15-30 miles of range per hour of charging.

Smart charger

There are a subset of "Level 2" chargers that are deemed to be Smart chargers. These have advanced features such as WiFi connectivity, mobile app control, scheduled charging, energy monitoring etc.
