Solar inverter replacement in Kent and the South East
The inverter is the part that wears out first. Replacing one costs a fraction of a new system and usually takes half a day.

Panels are warranted for 25 years. Inverters are not. Most string inverters last 10 to 12 years, which means a system fitted under the old feed-in tariff is either on its second inverter or overdue for one.
A failing inverter rarely announces itself. It throws an error code nobody sees, drops into a reduced output mode, or shuts down on hot afternoons and restarts overnight. The first sign most people notice is a bill that stopped going down.
We replace like for like where the rest of the system is sound. Where it is not, we will say so. If you are thinking about battery storage in the next few years, fitting a hybrid inverter now saves paying for the work twice.
A replacement is normally a half day. We test the array strings before sizing anything, because an inverter matched to the panels you actually have will beat a bigger one matched to the panels on the original paperwork.
We work on systems we did not install, including ones where the original installer is no longer trading.
